Thank you for joining us this month as we take up “The Invitation” and join together with thousands of YWAMers from around the world as we pray and hear from God. This month we will be praying Against Spiritual Powers in Ukraine.

In the fifth year of ongoing warfare in Ukraine, what began as a plan for a quick three-day incursion and an end to Ukrainian independence has escalated into an East/West conflict not easily or quickly resolved. “Ukraine” means “border,” and it has been that for centuries. What we called the Iron Curtain has been the division between the East and West since the Mongol and Tatar invasions in the 1200s. This is a spiritual battle that the Bible tells us about: we fight not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers in high places. This battle must be fought with prayer, lots of prayer. Please pray for Ukraine right now and also on August 13, the prayer day for YWAM’s prayer initiative called The Invitation.

- Pray that the powers over this evil will be brought down and defeated.
- Pray for hope for the people of Ukraine and Russia and for freedom from repression, fear, and death.
- Pray for our YWAMers in both of these countries, for boldness and anointing to carry out their calling, and for protection in the midst of difficulties and danger.

Take Action
Join an outreach team or contribute needed finances by going to ywamkyiv.org.
- Join our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in their efforts to rebuild. Homes of Hope is an outreach that brings teams from many countries to build small homes to replace those that have been destroyed. YWAM has built or repaired several hundred homes in Ukraine since the start of the war.
- Teams are invited to join in humanitarian projects and also in outreaches for evangelism among children and youth.
- There is a need for finances to withstand the difficulties of the war and to continue the many humanitarian projects that bring hope and aid to the people.
